Italy's Minister for Sport and Youth, Andrea Abodi, has hailed the progress on AS Roma's new stadium as a demonstration of the country's capabilities. Speaking after the decisive services conference for the Pietralata project, Abodi highlighted the speed of the process and the collective effort involved.
The Minister's Statement
"There is great satisfaction for the work done, moreover in a short time thanks to everyone's work," the Minister stated. "We are sending a strong, clear and unequivocal signal of what we are capable of doing when the tools, in this case extraordinary, are made available. Even though they should be ordinary."
This stadium progress comes at a high point for the team, which sits top of the Serie A table with 13 points from five matches. Roma, unbeaten in their last five games with three wins and two draws, will face Como away on October 11th.
The Euro 2032 Context
Abodi also linked the matter to the upcoming international bid. "In three days we will present the definitive list of stadiums for Euro 2032 to UEFA." The completion of the process for the Giallorossi's stadium is thus a significant piece in the national bid puzzle. The team, meanwhile, can focus on the league, with the updated standings and squad lists available.
