AS Roma is making significant progress in their pursuit of Porto forward Rodrigo Mora, with both parties working towards an agreement. According to reports from Get Italian Football News, initial contact was made with Mora's representatives over the deal.

Gianluca Di Marzio has reported that AS Roma have presented Porto with three different options for a transfer, but it is the second proposal which has gained most favor. This option includes an initial €25 million payment to Porto, along with a 50% sell-on clause over any future resale of Mora. In 2027, Roma will pay Porto an additional €25 million, which would technically be a second installment of the deal.

Porto appears to be satisfied with this proposal, and both parties are now working towards reaching an agreement. This could be a creatively effective move for AS Roma, as they won't have to pay a massive amount upfront. If Roma perform well in the upcoming season, they might find the financial flexibility to spend another package on Mora.

The deal does put pressure on Roma to do well next season, but under Gian Piero Gasperini's leadership, the club has gained significant stability.
