In their pre-season preparations, Brighton defeated AS Roma with a convincing 3-0 win at the Amex Stadium. Goals came from Georginio Rutter and Yasin Ayari.
The match began well for the Seagulls when Rutter put them in front after half an hour, executing a stunning curling effort from just outside the box. Ayari then scored two more goals before halftime, securing the win.
Napoli's record signing Luka Vuskovic impressed in the centre of Fabian Hurzeler's defence, while new arrivals Costinha and Zadoc Yohanna made their appearances as substitutes in the second half.
