Genoa head coach Daniele De Rossi may only have midfielder Alexsandro Amorim available for Saturday's Serie A trip to face AS Roma. The Brazilian, who suffered an ankle sprain in the Coppa Italia, took part in a light group session on October 15th, with his final call-up dependent on the last training session.

De Rossi confirmed he will still be without Lorenzo Colombo, Ethan Meichtry, Elias Havel, Djibril Sow, Joi Nuredini, and Lorenzo Venturino. Meichtry is expected back in training next week, with Venturino also nearing a group return. In their absence, Samuel Wiafe is a candidate for a starting shirt in midfield, having been previously evaluated by De Rossi during the win over Fiorentina.

To face third-placed Roma, who have 14 points from six games, Genoa are likely to revert to a three-defender formation mirroring the one used in last season's gritty win at the Stadio Ferraris. Youngster Robinho Jr, who helped the Primavera side defeat Juventus on Sunday, is confirmed in the squad travelling to the capital.

De Rossi's side, currently 17th, are seeking points to climb the table in a tough away fixture. The last meeting on March 8th ended in a 2-1 defeat for Roma. The hosts, coming off a 3-4 home loss to Real Madrid, will be aiming to return to winning ways in the league.
