ROME - Davide Massa will be the referee for the Serie A clash between AS Roma and Inter Milan, the early kickoff on matchday five this Saturday at 18:00. The official from Imperia will be assisted by Meli and Berti, with Maresca as the fourth official. The VAR booth will be manned by Mazzoleni, with Di Paolo as the AVAR.

The appointment comes for a top-of-the-table clash that sees league leaders Roma, with a perfect 12 points from four games, take on Inter, currently sitting second. The Giallorossi are coming off a 2-0 away win at Torino and are unbeaten in their last five matches across all competitions. De Rossi's side has the league's best attack with 12 goals scored and only one conceded.

The other appointments

For the rest of the matchday, Serie A has announced the other referees. On Sunday at 20:45, La Penna will take charge of Milan-Lecce, while Zufferli will oversee Juventus-Atalanta, kicking off at the same time as Roma-Inter. Sozza will be in charge of Venezia-Lazio, Chiffi for Frosinone-Como and Doveri for the big 12:30 match between Fiorentina and Napoli. Mariani, Parenzani, Guida and Manganiello complete the appointments for Parma-Genoa, Monza-Sassuolo, Bologna-Torino and Udinese-Cagliari.

Saturday's match at the Stadio Olimpico is a key test to stays at the summit. The last home meeting against the Nerazzurri last season ended in a draw.
